CRANKSHAFT

Crankshaft de-centering
Hold the crankshaft with trapezoidal locks and
measure the de-centering with a quadrant gauge,
as shown. If the de-centering surpasses the service
limit, replace the crankshaft with a new one.

Service limit: 0.08 mm

STARTER CLUTCH

Remove the hexagonal screws (1).
Starter clutch screw:
26 Nm (2.6 kgm)
Nount the starter clutch in the correct direction,
as shown.
Apply engine oil to the starter clutch.
Apply LOCTITE to the hexagonal screws and later
tighten with the specified torque while holding the
rotor with a spanner.

Couple the gears (1) to the starter clutch.
Check that the rotor (2) turns in the direction
indicated by the arrow while holding the gears
and pay attention so that the rotor never turns in
the opposite direction to that of the arrow.
