However, in buildings of unusually tight construction, you must provide additional fresh air.

If you do not meet the clearances listed below, you will need a hood.

Connect approved flex- ible gas hose to gas regulator of heater (see Figure 11). IMPORTANT: Hold gas regulator with wrench when connecting flexible gas hose.
  • Page 11 INSTALLATION Continued The installer must supply an external regu- lator. The external regulator will reduce incoming gas pressure. You must reduce incoming gas pressure to between 11 and 14 inches of water. If you do not reduce incom- ing gas pressure, heater regulator damage could occur.

    OPERATING HEATER Continued VARIABLE CONTROL OPERATION The variable control valve can be set to any heat setting and flame height desired, by simply turning the control knob until that setting is attained. Even the lowest setting provides realistic, dancing yellow flames.
