    Note: To ensure the projector works well with your computer, please make sure the timing of the display mode is compatible with the projector. Turning the Projector On/Off Turning On the Projector Ensure that the power cord and signal cable are securely connected. The Power LED will light red.

    Turning Off the Projector To turn the projector off, press the power button. This message appears: "Please press power button again to complete the shutdown process" Press the power button again. The LED power indicator will turn solid red to indicate standby mode. It is now safe to unplug the power cord.

    Adjusting the Projected Image Adjusting the Height of the Projected Image The projector is equipped with two elevator feet for adjusting the image height. To raise the image: Use the front Tilt adjusting wheel to raise the image to the desired height angle.

    Consult the table below to find the optimal image sizes achievable when the projector is positioned at a desired distance from the screen. • X111/X1140/X1140A/X1240 If the projector is 3 m from the screen, good image quality is possible for image sizes between 72" and 79".

    The table below shows how to achieve a desired image size by adjusting either the position or the zoom ring. • X111/X1140/X1140A/X1240 To obtain an image size of 70", set the projector at a distance between 2.6 m and 2.9 m from the screen and adjust the zoom level accordingly.

    Onscreen Display (OSD) Menus The projector has multilingual Onscreen Display (OSD) menus that allow you to make image adjustments and change a variety of settings. Using the OSD menus • To open the OSD menu, press "MENU" on the control panel or remote control.

    Color (X111/X1140) (X1140A/X1240/X1340W/P1340W) There are many factory presets optimized for various types of images. • Bright: For brightness optimization. • Presentation: For meeting presentation with higher brightness. • Standard: For common environment. Display Mode • Video: For playing video in a bright environment.

    Image (X111/X1140) (P1340W) (X1140A/X1240/X1340W) • Front-Desktop: The factory default setting. • Front-Ceiling: When you select this function, the projector inverts the image for ceiling-mounted projection. • Projection Rear-Desktop: When you select this function, the (X111/X1140) projector reverses the image so that you can project behind a translucent screen.

Location (X1140A/X1240/ • Desktop X1340W/ • Ceiling: Turns the image upside down for ceiling- P1340W) mounted projection. Use this function to choose your desired aspect ratio. • Auto: Keeps the image with original width-height ratio and maximizes the image to fit native horizontal or vertical pixels.
  • Page 33 Changes the projector’s refresh rate to match the frequency of your computer’s graphics card. If you experience a vertical Frequency flickering bar in the projected image, use this function to correct it. Synchronizes the signal timing of the display with the Tracking graphics card.

    Setting (X111/X1140) (X1140A/X1240/X1340W) (P1340W) Use this function to select your desired startup screen. If you change the setting, it will take effect when you exit the OSD menu. Startup Screen • Acer: The default startup screen of your Acer projector.

    Ceiling Mount Installation If you wish to install the projector using a ceiling mount, please refer to the steps below: Drill four holes into a solid, structurally sound part of the ceiling, and secure the mount base.
