About This Device
These instructions serve as an outline to assist qualified
personnel with the installation of the Compaq Modular Power
Distribution Unit Extension Bars into the Rack Extension Kit.
Four Extension Bars are provided with each Compaq Modular
Power Distribution Unit. The mPDU installs in the Rack
Extension Kit of Compaq 9000 series racks.

Screws to attach brackets to rack (8)
For L-bracket spares, order P/N 271658-001.
Installing the Extension Bars
Align the L-brackets with the screw hole in the extension bars.
Use the 5mm screws provided in the Modular Power
Distribution Unit Kit to attach the brackets to the extenstion
bars. Align the slots on the L-brackets with the holes in the Rack
Extension Kit, and then secure the extension bars by using the
screws provided in this kit.
