The new SSDs are particularly appropriate for applications that require storage systems capable of performing large numbers of random reads per second. -

The ESXi variant of VMware vSphere 4 is being adopted by many customers as a next generation hypervisor due to the stronger security that results from the absence of a console operating system. -

Boot from SAN deployments are the most commonly used configuration of this type.
