Shared storage
A storage system that can be simultaneously accessed by multiple
nodes in a PDC cluster. The MA8000/EMA12000 Storage Subsystem
is the shared storage subsystem for the PDC/O5000.
Storageset
A group of disk drives configured with RAID techniques to operate as
a single container and ensure that every partitioned storageset
whether it uses 10 or 14 physical disk driveslooks like a single
storage unit to the cluster nodes.
StorageWorks
A graphical user interface (GUI) used to create and manage
Command
MA8000/EMA12000 Storage Subsystem resources, including
Console (SWCC)
hardware RAID implementation, disk mirroring, and disk partitioning.
System
A complete computer system capable of operating independently. A
system can be either a single processor system or an SMP system.
Example: a server.
UPS
Uninterruptible power supply.
