• Use only BRITA MAXTRA filter
cartridges.
• Do not place the appliance on or
near a hot gas or electric burner or in
a heated oven.
• The appliance must not be on the
base unit when being filled with
water.
• Morphy Richards recommends that
the mains lead of the cordless base
cannot be repaired. If the mains lead
is damaged, the cordless base
should be discarded and replaced,
contact the helpline for advice.
• Unplug from the outlet when not in
use.
• The connector must be removed
before the appliance is cleaned. The
appliance inlet must be dried before
the appliance is used again.
• The kettle is only to be used with the
stand provided.
• Caution: to prevent damage to the
appliance, do not use alkaline
cleaning agents when cleaning, use a
cloth and mild detergent.
• When cleaning the kettle with
cleaning agents, you must take out
the BRITA filter cartridge and the
funnel. After cleaning and thoroughly
rinsing the kettle, the BRITA filter unit
can be re-inserted.
ELECTRICAL
REQUIREMENTS
Check that the voltage on the rating
plate of your appliance corresponds
with your house electricity supply
which must be A.C. (Alternating
Current).
If the socket outlets in your home are
not suitable for the plug supplied
with this appliance, the plug should
be removed and the appropriate one
fitted.
WARNING: The plug removed
from the mains lead, if severed,
must be destroyed, as a plug
with a bared flexible cord is
hazardous if engaged into a live
socket outlet.
Should the fuse in the 13 amp
plug require changing, a 13 amp
BS1362 fuse must be fitted.
WARNING: This appliance must
be earthed.
