Even when braking.
No trip is complete without a few roadside photo stops,
and with the BMW K 1200 GT, every one is a delight.
The braking system, tted as standard with the latest
partially integral version of BMW Motorrad Integral ABS,
makes coming to a standstill almost as enjoyable as pulling
away again.
Traction rst. BMW Motorrad ASC. Optional ASC (Auto-
matic Stability Control) is a rider aid that makes motor-
cycling even safer. Fitted in conjunction with BMW Motorrad
Integral ABS, this drive-slip control system prevents rear
wheelspin. In adverse conditions, for example on wet or
uneven surfaces, it signi cantly improves the stability of the
motorcycle, and with it the safety of the rider. However, even
ASC can't defy the laws of physics, and when it is activated,
riders need to exercise some caution – especially when
accelerating hard and leaning into corners. If you don't want
the electronics to intervene, the system can be deactivated
at the touch of a button, even while the bike is in motion.
