Data and Fax Calls

Making a Data or Fax Call

You can connect your phone to a computer or hand-held device
to send data or a fax from the connected device.
Use this feature to transfer data from your computer onto
another device, and to synchronise phonebook and datebook
information between your phone, computer, and/or hand-held
device.
Connect your phone (see "Connecting Your Phone to an External
Device" on page 152) and do the following:

1 Check the phone
2 Open the
application on
your computer
3 End the transfer
on your computer

Receiving a Data or Fax Call

You can connect your phone to a computer or hand-held device
to receive data or a fax.
Use this feature to transfer data to your computer from another
device.

make sure that the phone is
connected and powered on
place the call through the application
(such as dial-up-networking or fax)
Note: You cannot dial data or fax
numbers through your phone's
keypad. You must dial them through
your computer.
close the call and connection when
the transfer is complete
