    802.11g products, will still be much stronger than ever before. Utilizing the Pre Shared Key mode of WPA, the DI-724GU will obtain a new security key every time it connects to the 802.11g network. You only need to input your encryption information once in the configuration menu. With the DI-724GU you will no longer have to manually input a new WEP key to ensure security.

    Power LED A solid light indicates a proper connection to the power supply. Status LED A blinking light indicates that the DI-724GU is functioning properly. WAN LED A solid light indicates a connection on the WAN port. This LED blinks during data transmission.

    First, connect the power adapter to the receptor at the back panel of the DI-724GU and then plug the other end of the power adapter to a wall outlet or power strip. The Power LED will turn ON to indicate proper operation.

    Wireless Installation Considerations The D-Link Wireless 108G QoS Gigabit Router lets you access your network using a wireless connection from virtually anywhere within the operating range of your wireless network. Keep in mind, however, that the number, thickness and location of walls, ceilings, or other objects that the wireless signals must pass through, may limit the range. Typical ranges vary depending on the types of materials and background RF (radio frequency) noise in your home or business.

    3. Why can’t I get a wireless connection? If you have enabled Encryption on the DI-724GU, you must also enable encryption on all wireless clients in order to establish a wireless connection. • For 802.11b, the Encryption settings are: 64 or 128 bit. Make sure that the encryption bit level is the same on the Router and the Wireless Client.
