V-CHIP Plus+ Demo and Setup
Set up V-CHIP Plus+ and
enjoy the features (list-
ed on the following
pages and shown on the
Demonstration) that
automatically control
programming which can
appear on your TV, see
below

Press V-CHIP+ on the remote control.

Use the Down arrow to highlight SETUP / DEMO, press ENTER.

Use the Down arrow to select DEMO, press ENTER.
Watch the demonstration and see the V-CHIP Plus+ options available.

Press QUIT to turn the demonstration off.
SETUP
Follow the instructions described above but go to the SETUP menu.

Enter a 4-number password using the NUMBER keypad on the
remote control. Repeat the password.
Note: Each time you make a change to the V-CHIP Plus+ Setup, you
will need to enter a 4-number password.

Channel Mapping (follow on-screen instructions)
Once the V-CHIP Plus+ Setup menu appears, enter the channel num-
ber you receive the network on if it is different than the VCR+
Channel number listed for your local broadcast area. Consult a local
newspaper or TV guide book for the VCR+ assigned channel chart.
For example, if the VCR+ Channel number listed for HBO is 33, and
you view HBO over Channel 4, than change the "is seen on CH" to
number 4. That way when you use the VCR+ PlusCodes to control a
program on HBO, the TV will automatically switch and control
Channel 4. See typical VCR+ Channels chart above.
IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THE 4-NUMBER PASSWORD
REMEMBER YOUR PASSWORD, IT IS THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN USE THE
TV. IF YOU FORGET THE PASSWORD, YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL
THE 99 HOUR BLOCK TIME HAS EXPIRED BEFORE THE TV WILL BE
AVAILABLE FOR USE.
THE SAME PASSWORD WILL BE USED TO ACCESS AND OPERATE THE
PARENTAL CONTROL FEATURE.
