BEFORE FIRST USE

• Remove all packaging from the appliance.
• Unpack all parts and check for damage that may have occurred during transport.
If any parts are damaged or missing, do not use the appliance and return it to your
retail outlet immediately.
• Clean the appliance before first use (see CLEANING AND CARE).
• Turn the browning control knob (5) to high (level 6). With no bread inserted, press
the loading handle (4) down to burn off any dust which may have accumulated on
the heating elements. The appliance may omit an odour. This is normal. Make sure
the room is well ventilated.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING:

• To prevent burns, never touch any parts of the appliance when it is in use or cooling
except the handles, butons and knobs.
• Do not insert any utensils into the toaster when it is plugged in.

USING THE TOASTER

Making Toast
1. Make sure the toaster is placed upright on a firm, level, heat resistant and non-
combustible surface and that the crumb tray is in place.
2. Connect the toaster to the power supply.
