remove the protective cover of the device on the bottom of the
luggage compartment;

place the release wrench in the manual release device housing.

to perform the emergency release, turn the release wrench
counterclockwise for a quarter turn.

If the electrical system allows it, switch on the instrument panel and
check in the gearbox area that the letter "N" appears together with the
message: "Gearbox not in P position". At the same time, an acoustic
signal is repeated four times to indicate that the Park Lock has been
released.

Towing the vehicle with the wheel axle lifted

This may only be done by skilled staff. Always lift the rear wheel axle
only. Make sure that the front wheels are in a straight line.

Loading the vehicle onto the trailer

Manually release the Park Lock.
Important note
If possible, use the Carwash procedure.

Release the electric parking brake (EPB).
