- Turn off the ignition.
- Briefly press the button in the instrument cluster

fig. 25 . The odometer and the digital clock are
now illuminated.
- Press the button for at least 2 seconds. The currently
stored maximum speed appears in the display.
- Press the reset button in the wiper lever @ =>
page 30,
fig. 26 until the crossed out speed warning symbol for
warning threshold 2 appears in the display .
A few seconds after t he ad ju stment is completed, the illum inat ion for
the odometer and the digital clock will go out .

Red symbols
A red symbol means DANGER.
- Pull of the road and st op t he vehicle.
- Turn off the engine.
- Check the malfunctioning system . Contact your autho -
rized Audi dealer or a qualified workshop for assistance.

Whe n a red symbol appears, a wa rning tone will sound three t imes in
succession. The symbol continues to flash until the ma lfunction has
been repaired.
If
t here is more than one malfunction, the symbo ls
appear one after the other for about two seconds.

Tips
The message for a malfunct ion can be shown by pressing on the
left knob .
During route guidance on vehicles with a nav igat ion system, the
wa rning symbo l is shown in the fie ld above. •

Ayellow symbol means WARNING.
