When mounting on a pole, secure the Junction Box to a suitable mounting plate and attach the
mounting plate to the pole using U-Bolts (Pole-Mounting brackets for Teledyne Oldham
Simtronics J-box accessories are available separately).
2.6
Electrical Installation
The installation should meet all the regulations currently in force for installations in explosive
atmospheres, in particular the standards IEC/EN 60079-14 and IEC/EN 60079-17 (whichever
editions are in force) or in accordance with other national standards. OLCT 700 and OLCT 710
are certified for use in ATEX zones 1 and 2, group IIB+H2, T4.
Proper electrical installation of the gas detector is critical for conformance to Electrical Codes and
to avoid damage due to water leakage. Refer to Figure 9 and Figure 10 for proper electrical
installation.
