11 Troubleshooting

Machines with the designation WEA..., WEPA...:
The electronic signal display (6) lights up
and the load speed decreases. The coil
temperature is too high! Run the machine in
idling until the electronics signal indicator switches
off.
The electronic signal display (6) flashes
and the machine does not start. The
restart protection is active. If the mains plug
is inserted with the machine switched on, or if the
current supply is restored following an interruption,
the machine does not start up. Switch the machine
off and on again.

12 Accessories

Use only genuine Metabo accessories.
If you need any accessories, check with your
dealer.
For dealers to select the correct accessory, they
need to know the exact model designation of your
power tool.
See page 4.
A Roughing disc (always use with safety guard
attached)
B Louver disc (always use with safety guard
attached)
C Parting safety guard.
D Parting disc (always use with parting safety
guard attached)
E Diamond discs (always use with safety guard
or parting safety guard attached)
F Cup wheel guard (place on machine and
secure with screws (f)). Secure cup wheel as
described in chapter 8. Use an offset 2-hole
spanner if necessary. Use the wing screws to
adjust the safety guard until the cup wheel
protrudes between 0.5 cm - 1 cm.
G Cup wheels (always use with cup wheel safety
guard attached)
H Offset 2-hole spanner (for securing/loosening
the clamping nut (12) on cup wheels)
I Parting safety guard with guide slot (place on
machine and secure with screws.) (with
adapter for connection to a suitable dust
extractor for extraction of stone dust gener-
ated when cutting stone slabs.)
J Hand guard (for attaching under the additional
side-mounted handle.)
K Steel wire brushes (always use with the hand
guard attached.)
L Adjusting nut (12)
M "Quick" clamping nut (1)

13 Repairs

Repairs to electrical tools must be carried out
by qualified electricians ONLY!
Any Metabo power tool in need of repair can be
sent to one of the addresses listed in the spare
parts list.
Please enclose a description of the fault with the
power tool.

14 Environmental Protection

The sanding dust generated may contain
hazardous materials: do not dispose of with the
household waste, but at a special collection point
for hazardous waste.
Metabo's packaging can be 100% recycled. Scrap
power tools and accessories contain large
amounts of valuable resources and plastics that
can be recycled.
Only for EU countries: Never dispose of
power tools in your household waste! In
accordance with European Guideline
2002/96/EC on used electronic and electric equip-
ment and its implementation in national legal
systems, used power tools must be collected
separately and handed in for environmentally
compatible recycling.
These instructions are printed on chlorine-free
bleached paper.
