MACRO FOCUSING
(70-210mm and 100-300mm Zooms only)
Magnification ratios are indicated in blue on lens barrel. When focusing on a close subject,
macro index points to blue scale, indicating image-to-subject ratio. Blue index and ratios can
also be used to preset for a specific magnification.
Maximum magnification of 0.256X (i.e., an image-to-subject ratio of 1:3.9) is achieved by
zooming lens to its longest focal length and turning grip to its minimum focusing distance.
NOTE
The macro function of this lens is designed to be used for taking pictures of subjects such
as insects and flowers. It is not intended for copying documents or artwork, for which use of
Minolta macro lenses is recommended.
