Using the auto-focus framing marks (to take pictures)
When usingthe LCDas a viewfinder,framing marksindicatethe camerafocus area.
Thecameraattemptsto focus on foregroundsubjects,evenif the subjectsare not
centeredin the scene.
1 Press the Shutterbutton halfway.
Whentheframingmarksturngreen,focusisaccomplished.

r i_11 center focus
r i_1 1 center wide focus
1.1_.I Side focus
r t t ] center and sidefocus
rl_] [1_1 Leftand right focus
2 If the camerais not focusingon the desiredsubject(or if the framing marks
disappear),release the Shutterbutton and recompose the scene.
3 Press the Shutterbutton completely down to take the picture.
NOTE: Framing marks donotappear in Landscape orVideo mode. When y ouuseFocus
Zone ( see page 22)and setCenter Zone, theframing marks a re fixed atCenter Wide.
