o Make sure the remote control device switch is set to tile correct position (p 14).
o Remove all obstructions betweer/the remote control and the TV.
o The remote control batteries may be dead. Replace the batteries (p. 13).
o Your TV remote cor/trol may riot operate certain features on your exterr/al device. Refer to the
owner's manuals for your other devices to determine their available features. If your TV remote
control does not operate a specific feature oil another device, use the remote control that came
with tile device (p. 13}.
o Make sure the remote control device switch is set to the correct position (p 14).
o Make sure tile TV/CABLE setfir/g corresponds with tile signal source (TV ar/tenna or cable)
(p 20.
° The channeJ may have been erased from the chant/el memory by the ADD/ERASE feature. Add
the chant/el to the channel memory (p. 20}.
o The channel may be blocked by the BLOCK CHANNEL feature. Unblock the channel {p. 33}.
o If you select one of the caption modes (C1, C2 C3 or C4) but the program you are watching is
not closed captioned no captions wiJl display on screer/{p. 28)
o A closed cap'don signaJ may no_ dispJay correctly in the foJJowing situations: a) when a
videotape has been dubbed; b} when the signal recepSon is weak; or c} when the signal
receptior/is nonstandard If closed captions dispJay incorrectly set the closed caption feature
to OFF(p. 28)
° If you seJect one of tile texl n/odes {T1, T2 T3 or
T4)
but text is not avaiJabJe,a black rectangle
may appear on-screen. If this happens, set the closed caption feature to OFF {p. 28}
o If you forge'/your PIN code: While tile PIN code entering screen is dispJayed press RECALL
four times within 5 seconds. The PIN code you stored will be reset (p 29}.
o The V_Chip feature is only available for the US V_Chip system. The Canadian V-Chip system
('PuceA!'} is not supported (p 30}.
o Setting the BLOCK TV NONE RATING to "Y" {blocked) may block reception of
emerger/cy broadcasts. The BLOCK TV NONE RATING mer/u will display tile note "Enabling
this option may block emergency messages" to warn you of this possibility (p. 32}.
