Connecting your TV
Note." Cables are not supplied withyour 7qZ.
• Coaxial cable is the cable that comes in from your antenna,cable IV service,
or cable converterbox. Coaxialcable uses"F' connectors.
• Standard PJV [audio/video) cables usually come in sets of three, and are
typically color-coded according to use: yellowfor video,red for stereo right audio,
and white for stereo left (or mono) audio. On your TV'sback panel,the standard
A/V inputsare color-coded in the same manneras the cables.
• S-Video cable is for use with video equipmentthat has an S-Videoinput.
• Component video cables come in sets of three, and are for use with video
equipmentthat has component video inputs. [ColorStream _;' i s Toshiba's brand

NOTE REGARDING P ICTURE QUALITY
When connecting video equipmentto your ToshibaTV:
• For GOODpicture quality: Usea standard yellowvideo cable.
l For BETTERpicture quality: If your equipment has an S-video input, use an
S-video cable instead of a standard yellowvideo cable.(You still must
connect the standard red and white audio cables for full systemconnection,
but do not connect the standard yellowvideo cable at the sametim& or the
picture performancewill be unacceptable.)
l For BESTpicture quality: tf your equipment has componentvideo inputs,
use componentvideo cables instead of a standard video or S-video cable.
(You still mustconnect the standard red and white audio cables for full system
connection, but do not connect the standardyellow video cable or an S-Video
cable at the sametime.)

Do not connect a regular video cable an___d

same time. Doing so will causeunacceptable
picture performance.
When recording, set Audio Out to
FIXED Csee "Selecting
variable audio
OUT" on page 33J. With Audio Out set
to FIXED, the TV's volume setting will
not affect the sound level being
recorded.
