POWERFUL OPERATION

The air conditioner runs at the maximum fan speed. Use the Powerful operation to cool down the room quickly or circulate the air in
a room.
To select POWERFUL Operation
Press the POWERFUL button (Fig. 5 H)
The indoor unit's POWERFUL Indicator Lamp (green) [Fig. 3 7] will light.
(The Powerful operation is not indicated on the remote controller. Check the operation
with the POWERFUL Indicator Lamp on the indoor unit.)
To stop POWERFUL Operation
Press the POWERFUL button (Fig. 5 H) again.
The indoor unit's POWERFUL Indicator Lamp (green) [Fig. 3 7] will go out.
About the Powerful Operation
● The Powerful operation is performed as follows according to the operation mode which is set when the Powerful operation starts.
The Powerful operation stops automatically according to the room temperature or operating time, and then the air conditioner
returns to the normal operation.

POWERFUL Fan operation

The air conditioner runs at the maxi-
mum fan speed.
● The originally set RIGHT/LEFT air direction is maintained during the Powerful operation. (The air direction can be changed during
the Powerful operation.)
● The Swing operation that has been set during the Powerful operation will be maintained even after the completion of the Powerful
operation.
● The Powerful operation will be cancelled if the setting of operation mode or fan speed is changed during the Powerful operation.
In this case, press the POWERFUL button again after the setting change.
● The Powerful operation is cancelled when the room temperature becomes lower than the set temperature by 1°C during the
Powerful operation in the AUTO, COOL or DRY mode.
● The Powerful operation cannot be controlled with the wired remote controller (optional).
● The Powerful operation using the Timer functions can be set as follows. [Refer to TIMER OPERATION (see page 8)]

The Powerful operation starts at the preset time. • Set the ON timer during the Powerful operation. Or press the
OFF timer
The Powerful operation stops at the preset time. • Start the Powerful operation and then set the OFF timer. Or
Program timer
The Powerful operation stops at the preset time

and then starts at the preset time.

• The air direction is adjusted automatically to the
direction 4 at which the wind usually blows on
the user(s).
[Refer to Vertical Air Direction Adjustment (see
page 10)]
After the completion of the Powerful operation,
the air conditioner returns to the original setting
mode.
• The airflow can be set to any direction during the
Powerful operation. The direction that has been
set will be maintained even after the completion
of the Powerful operation.
• The originally set direction is maintained.
• The airflow can be set to any direction with the
remote controller.
Description of Operation
Vertical Air Direction Adjustment
POWERFUL button after setting the ON timer. (The Powerful
operation stops at the time the operation time of the Powerful
operation has elapsed.)
press the POWERFUL button after setting the OFF timer. (The
Powerful operation stops even before the air conditioner stops
operating if the OFF time is set after the operating time of the
Powerful operation.)
Start the Powerful operation and then set the Program timer. Or
press the POWERFUL button after setting the Program timer.
(The Powerful operation stops at the time the operation time of
the Powerful operation has elapsed.)
Operating Time

to their original settings
