Troubleshooting Guide
Symptom
The power does not
turn on.
The DVR-510
suddenly powers down.
The image is not
captured when the
button is pressed.
The flash does not fire.
Cannot transfer files
over a USB connection.

Possible causes
* The battery has run out.
* The battery is not oriented correctly.
* The battery cover is not closed properly.
* The function of POWER OFF in SYSTEM
MENU has been activated.
* The battery has run out.
* The DVR-510 is in SELECT MODE
(Playback Mode).
* Memory is full.
* The write-protect tab on the "SD Memory
Card" is set to the LOCK position.

* USB cable is not connected securely.

Solutions / Corrective Actions

Load new or fully charged battery.
* Load the battery in the correct direction.
* Close the battery cover correctly.
* Set the option of POWER OFF to OFF.
* Turn the power back on or charge the
battery.
* Toggle the
button to access in
camera mode.
* Transfer the desired files to your
computer and then delete unnecessary
files, or use a different memory card.
* Slide the write-protect tab to UNLOCK.
* Select a different flash mode.
* Toggle the
button to access in
camera mode.
* Slide the focus switch to the
(normal mode).
* Check all connections.
* Install the USB driver on your computer.
* Turn on the DVR-510.
