NOTE:
lf an Onkyo cassette tape deck or CD player is connected to the
TX-866/844 with the FRI remote control cable, Operations
and (4) above will differ slightly because the direct function
feature is used.
Please see the section " Direct Function Feature"
on this page.
Direct
function
feature
NOTE:
This function works when an Onkyo cassette tape deck or CD
player with the
fRQI
mark is connected to a TX-866/844 with
an
fl
remote control cable. -
Just by directly operating the desired component
(compact disc
player, or tape deck), the TX-866/844 input selector automatically
switches to that component. The component that was being used
stops, and the desired component starts operation.
Therefore, it
is Not necessary to switch the TX-866/844 input selector when
changing listening sources.
Example
When the compact disc player's play button is pressed, the
TX-866/844 input selector will switch automatically to "CD." If the
current listening source was a tape deck, tape playback will stop
and the compact disc player will start playing.
NOTE:
| The direct function feature does not apply to turntable.
