the av¬
erage
settings
for the two
systems.
AUXILIARY
The
auxiliary
input
is
the
same as
the tuner
input and may be
used
for a host of different
applications.
TAPE MONITOR/SELECTOR SWITCH
This
switch selects between the tape
input
and the
input of
choice
on the
selector
switch.
TAPE OUT
To
tape with PAM-5,
turn the
selector switch on the
front panel
to the
position of
the
source you wish to
record.
The
tape out¬
put
is
not
affected by the position of
the Tape Monitor/Selector
Switch.
OUTPUT
There are two
outputs
on PAM-5 which are
capable of
driving
more than one
amplifier at the
same time.
D.C.
or A.C.
COUPLING
Your PAM-5
comes
to you
set for D.C.
coupled operation.
If your
system is very
sensitive to
small
D.C.
voltage
fluctuations,and
you are not using a Krell power amplifier,
you may change
to
A.C.
coupling by moving the rocker
switch S
6 to the open position.
BALANCE
The
balance
control on the PAM-5
is
really a balance
attenuator.
When you turn the
control to
the
right,
the
speaker on the
right
will
reduce
ini level.
If you turn it to
the
left,
the
left
speaker will
reduce
in
level.
Note,
rotation in the
extreme
of
either direction turns the channel off.
