with this appliance and must be installed for
the protection of children and other at-risk
individuals.

NOTICE: Trim pieces are easily scratched. Handle with
care.
Preparation
CAUTION! Risk of Burns!
• The fi replace should be turned off and cooled before
trim is installed on decorative barrier front.
• Shut off gas supply.
NOTICE: Once trim pieces are installed, they can only be
removed by disassembling the decorative front.

Installation Instructions
1. While wearing protective gloves, remove trim pieces
from packaging. The mitered ends are sharp. Lay the
trim pieces out on the fl oor. The longer pieces are for
the top/bottom and the shorter pieces are for the sides.
See Figure 1.
2. Remove the Portrait decorative front from the appli-
ance.

Note: The trim installation process is made easier by po-
sitioning the decorative front so that the side to which the
trim is being added is on the fl oor. The order of instal-
lation is top, side, side and the bottom piece should be
installed last.
