Recommended standard mounting method is (A). Method (B)-(F) are also possible.

7-2. Output Derating
Use within the following output derating range based on the mounting direction and power supply ambient
temperature.
If the power supply is operated beyond the output derating, the IC's built-in over temperature shut down
function operates and output will be shut down.
After shut down, remove the input and cool down to reset over temperature shut down, and then re-input.
Load(%) of derating curve indicates output derating values below are based on the maximum output current
value at the rated output voltage value as 100%.
