Recording
indicator (—R%)
Iluminates to indicate that this unit is in the recording stand-by
or recording mode.
Playback indicator (play)
When this indicator illuminates steadily, it indicates that this
unit is in the playback or recording mode. When it flashes
continually, it indicates that this unit is in the pause mode or
the recording stand-by mode.
Reverse-side indicator (<)
IIluminates to indicate that side "B" of the tape is being used.
Forward-side
indicator (>)
Illuminates to indicate that side "A" of the tape is being used.
Input level meter
During playback, this meter indicates the level of the recorded
sound.
During
recording,
it indicates
the level
being
recorded,
adjusted by the recording-level control.
Dolby noise-reduction
indicators ([B], [Cc]
One of these indicators illuminates to show the type of Dolby
noise-reduction system selected.

Multiplex filter indicator (MPX)
Illuminates to indicate that the multiplex filter is set to "on".

Memory-stop
indicator (M.stop)
This indicator illuminates to indicate that this tape deck is in
the memory stop mode.
Tape-select indicators
The type of tape being used will be automatically detected.
The corresponding indicator illuminates to show the tape type.
Reverse-mode
indicators (——, C.>)
One of these indicators illuminates to show which type of the
reverse mode was selected.
Tape counter
Indicates the amount of tape movement.
