Maintenance and care

Stainless steel is an alloy combining the mechanical
properties of steel with the anti-corrosive properties of
EN
the noble metals.
Very little in terms of care and time is needed to keep a
sink's shine and beauty intact.

Cleaning the sink

It is advisable to clean the sink using neutral alcohol or
vinegar based detergents.
After using the sink it should be dried with a microfibre
cloth to avoid incrustations and opaque zones. Should
these occur, a cloth damp with methylated spirit should
be used.
Satin-finish steel must be washed and dried following
the direction of the finish.
! Avoid leaving wet sponges, salt, corrosive
substances or very hot objects on the sink for long
periods of time. Lines and scratches may be caused
by improper use of the sink, so avoid using it as a work
surface for cutting things.
! Avoid the use of abrasive or corrosive detergents or
anti-stain or anti-rust products, powder detergents and
sponges with an abrasive surface, as these can all
scratch the surface irredeemably.
! Never use steam or high-pressure cleaning systems
to clean your sink.
Stainless steel may be marked if left in contact with
very calcareous water or aggressive detergents
(containing phosphorus) for extended periods of
time. It is advisable to rinse well and dry the sink after
cleaning it. It is also a good idea to dry up any water
spills.
