CONNECTIONS
INDOOR VS. OUTDOOR ANTENNAS
lf FM reception is poor when using the accessory T-type
antenna, it means that you are not living in a good reception
area. In this case, setting up a good outdoor FM antenna will
solve this problem.
AM LOOP ANTENNA
NOTE:
Any contact of the loop antenna with metal objects will result
in impaired sensitivity and a deterioration in reception.
NOTE:
Consult your dealer as to the selection and actual installation
of the FM antenna.

reception
until a
special-purpose
FM
antenna
is
installed.
AM LOOP ANTENNA

With wood screws the antenna can
easily be installed in a location
suitable for good reception (audio
rack, wall etc.).

Turn the antenna so that optimum
reception is obtained.
¢
Do
not
install
the antenna
in
locations
where
it touches
the
equipment or other metal objects,

or near
a CD player,
personal
computer or TV set.

Connecting the Loop Antenna
(1) Push down.
(2) insert the wire into the
hole.
(3) Release.

The OUTPUT jacks of this unit are dull tin-
plated, aiming at high audio quality.

Connect the white plug to the white terminal (L) and

the red plug to the red terminal (R).
Although
grounding
is not always
necessary
for

reception, it is recommended for protection against
damage from lightning if an outdoor FM antenna is
used. Grounding is recommended
as well to help
reduce noise and hum.
Note:
Never make the ground connection to a gas pipe as
sparks could cause the gas to ignite.
