Secondary addresses are reserved for the mainframe whether modules occupy the associated siot locations
or not.
You may want to apply stick-on labels over the slot locations of the mainframe to indicate that the modules installed in the
auxiliary mainframe are at secondary addresses 8 to 15. You may also label the modules according to their slot locations.
If any modules are removed, they can then be reinstalled in the same slot.
Figure 2-4 illustrates the relationship of the switch settings and secondaiy addresses. Refer to Chapter 3 for connection
infonnation.
