SPY AKERS,
Plug the power cord into the household electrical outlet only
after all the connections have been completed.
Proceed as follows with the set-up and connections.
1. Place the cassette deck amplifier on top of the CD player.
2, Connect the CD player OUTPUT jacks to the cassette deck am-
plifier CD INPUT jacks with audio cords.
lf using this unit together
with the optional CD
player PD
Z274T or PD-Z84M, connect the flat cable 7).
3. Place the tuner on top pf the cassette deck amplifier.
4, Connect the tuner input/output cord '5. to cassette deck ampli-
tier.
TUNER AND CD PLAYER CONNECTIONS

insert the connector until it locks, thus ensuring that it is con-
nected, When disconnecting the connector, pull it in the oppo
site direction while pressing the left and right claws

5. Connect the FM antenna
|: and the AM loop antenna :2 to the
tuner's antenna terminals.
6. Place the turntable on top of the tuner.
7. Connect the turntable connection cords '9 to the CD cassette
deck amplifier's jacks.
If using the turntable
PL-Z94,
connect the turntable's audio
cords and power supply cord respectively to the CD cassette
deck amplifier's PHONO
jacks and DC
12V OUTPUT jack
lf using a different turntable,
connect
its audio cord and
ground
cord
in the PHONO
jack and
the ground
terminal,
respectively
8. Use the "LD/VCR" jacks for connection to the audio jacks of
an LD player or VCR.
NOTE
© Insert the plugs securely into the jacks. Improper connection
can lead to sound distortion or malfunction.
¢ The white plug is for the left channel connection and the red
plug for the right channel connection.

When connecting or disconnecting the input/output cord, do
so only after disconnecting
the power
plug from
the
wall
socket
9. Connect the speaker cords 10: to the SPEAKERS terminals.
Connect the "+" terminals on the CD cassette
deck amplitier
to the
"+" terminais on the speakers, the "--" terminals on
the CD cassette deck amplifier to the "~"
terminals on the
speakers

NOTE.
Do not allow the conductors of the cords to project out of the
terminals

Speaker impedance
[Multi-voltage model]
Connect speaker systems with a nominal impedance of between
6 and 16 Q.
[Australian model]
Connect speaker systems with a nominal impedance of between
8 and 16 Q.
Surround speaker connection
See Fig 4.
Connect the plugs properly.
Connect a speaker system with a nominal impedance of 16 @ or
more.
10. Connect the CD player's power cord to the deck amplifier's
AC OUTLET.
11. Finally, connect the power cord {2 to the AC wall sacket.
