    This information is to be supplemented by the dangers, warnings, and cautions given in each chapter. • The UHI-4 is not explosion-proof. Never install or operate it in the presence of flammable gases. • Supply medical grade CO gas only. Never use other kinds of gas.

    • Olympus is not liable for any injury or damage due to improper cylinder connection. • If a significant gas leak is noted from within the UHI-4, terminate its use immediately and contact Olympus. • Always use a CO cylinder that can supply the gas at up to 16.2 MPa.

    Connecting the light source (CLV-190, CLV-S190) or the video system center (OTV-S190) When the high flow insufflation unit is used in combination with an Olympus light source (CLV-190 or CLV-S190), it can communicate and exchange fault information, etc. with the video system center connected to the light source. The exchanged information can be used in troubleshooting and repair of an irregularity with the high flow insufflation unit.

To prevent the tube from collapsing, there must be at least 10 cm between the differential diameter connector and the pinch valve groove (see Figure 3.26).

    Check the connection of the cylinder hose again. If the supply pressure continues to move down, stop operating and immediately contact Olympus. Set the insufflation mode to HIGH and press the START switch. Confirm that the bar graph for supply pressure is moving down as the pressure rate increases and that an alarm sounds when the pressure drops below 2 LEDs.
