TO SELECT A SPECIFIC PLAYBACK SCENE
When using a microphone equipped with key controller, the
microphone's
"once more" button may be used instead.
If feedback howling (a loud, high-pitched whining sound)
occurs:
() Turn the microphone level dial to the left.
'2) Move the microphone as far from the speaker as possible.
@ Lower the sound volume.
To perform mixing recording:
By following the instructions for recording on page 72 (Deck lf!
only), you can record your own voice together with karaoke
background accompaniment.
(Background accompaniment
played back from cassette tape cannot be recorded).
NOTE:
When performing mixing recording, excessive input from the
microphone may cause distorted sound to be recarded. As a
result, be especially careful to adjust the recording level prop-
erly before beginning the actual recording process (only with
CT-J720WR, see page 74).

When the karaoke selector MPX is pressed, the vocal play-
back mode changes in the following order:

Once the above setting has been made, use the MPX BALANCE
dial to adjust.
When turned to the KARAOKE side. . .
karaoke-type musical accompaniment is
produced {original vocals on the source are
de-emphasized).
When turned to the VOCAL side. ..
the playback source
contains the original
vocal sound.

Some discs may switch automatically to the appropriate
audio mode.
Mex BALANCE
Selecting the echo mode (SP-J720K only): oO
When the karaoke selector's ECHO TONE button is pressed, the
echo effect alternates between BALLAD (suitable for singing
along to "ballad"-type songs) and POPS (suitable for singing
along to "pops"-type songs).
Once this setting is made, use the ECHO LEVEL dial to adjust
the amount of echo effect applied.
