Battery (03_22, 03_23)

To access the battery, proceed as follows:
1. Place the scooter on its centre stand;
2. Open the saddle, following the previously described procedure.
3. Remove the retainers «A» and the cover «B».
4. Release the piston ring «C».
The battery is the electrical device that requires the most frequent inspections and

diligent maintenance.
The main points of maintenance to be observed are as follows:
WARNING
DO NOT DISCONNECT THE BATTERY CABLES WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING,
THIS CAN CAUSE PERMANENT DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE ELECTRONIC CON-
TROL UNIT.
