Insert the cassette with the exposed tape facing you.

The illustration shows how to remove the tabs to prevent recording.
To record on the tape again, cover as shown.

(_ Insert the cassette with the side to be erased facing up.
(_) Press [I TAPF_/CD] to switch to TAPE mode.
(_) Press [l/ll].
Recording CDs
Preparations:
• Insert a CD (,_ page 12).
• Wind on the leader tape.
] Press [_ DECK] to open the deck.
Load a cassette with the side for recording facing up and close
the deck by hand.
] Press [IITAPE/CD] to switch to CD mode.
Each time you press the button:
TAPE e->Cd
] Press [e/ll] to start recording.
CD pray and recording start at the same time.
The cassette stops when the CD finishes.
To stop recording
Press [11TAPE/CD].
[] To pause recording
Press [e/ll].
Press again to resume recording.
To continue recording from another CD on the same cas-
sette
Press [A CD] andreplacethe CD.
(_ Press [e/ll].
To record selected tracks
_) Do step ill, then program the tracks (,_ page 14).
(_ Press [O/11].
To skip unwanted tracks
(_ Press [1/11] to pause recording (the CD also pauses)•
(_ Turn [TIMFJPRESETTUNE --CD SKIP --] so the next track you
want to record is displayed.
Press [1111] to resume recording.
