How to adjust the level
@ Push the Tune Switch Ф of the Panel Switches.
The indicator of the Tune Switch will flasn.
@ Depress the Number Pedal (2.
The Display windows Ф and Ф will show " DU".
Playing a string here will cause the GR-77B to gener-
ate testing tone for adjusting the output level. You
may check the guitar sound and this testing tone of
each string.
The Test tone varies as shown below depending on
how hard you pick the string.

Ш Test tone is one octave higher than that of the open
string.
@ Test tone is the 3rd higher than that of
D Test tone is the 5th higher than that of [i]

$ Press the 5th fret of the guitar, and as you play
each string in fortessimo {the strongest pick- -
ing manner), adjust the output level as follows.
* When the Test tone stays between the condition D
and Bi, the string does not need tuning. If it changes
from [i] to B or remains (3], take the following tuning

Then as you play the string at the 5th fret in fortes-
simo, rotate the knob little by little toward the
MAX or MIN position (depending on the condition
as shown above) until the Test tone moves from
the @ to @ condition.
