CAUTIONS
¢ Periodically wipe cabinet clean with soft
cloth and dilute soap solution, then wipe
with dry cloth.
e Don't use chemically treated cleaning cloths
on unit or other chemicals like oil, solvents
and insecticides.
* Don't expose unit to direct sunlight,
moisture or temperature extremes.
* Don't put unit on amplifiers, receivers or
other heat sources, especially temperatures
higher than 60?C (140?F).
* Use on firm, level surface free from vibra-
tions, and don't put anything on unit.
* Keep unit away from strong magnetism, ex-
cessive dust, water or humidity.
* Refer all servicing to Yamaha
personnel,
since removing unit's cover presents shock
M™azard.
Using unauthorized AC power adaptor may
damage unit.
Yamaha
is NOT responsible for damage from
improper use.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Many "problems" can be solved quite easily.
Refer to the following table before calling a
Yamaha dealer.
PROBLEM

Power doesn't
Load batteries correctly.

If using AC Power Adaptor, be
sure it is firmly connected to
both DC IN Jack of YPR-9 and
wall AC power outlet.
Sound doesn't
get loud, or
doesn't sustain
properly.
Replace batteries.
No sound.
Remove headphones plug if in.
Replace batteries if dead.
Sound distorts.
Lower volume.
