é Troubleshooting
If you have a problem with your VCR, first check the power cord connection, then go through the following list. Should the
difficulty persist, unplug the unit, and contact your Sony dealer or local authorized Sony Service Center facility.
Symptom

Power
The POWER switch doesn't work.
@ The power cord is disconnected.
® The VCR is in the timer standby mode.

® Acassette recorded on another VCR is being played
back. Adjust the tracking with TRACKING
NORMAL/SLOW and STILL ADJUST on the Remote
Commander.
@ The video heads are dirty. Clean the heads using the
Sony T-25CL video head cleaning cassette. For details
on cleaning, refer to the instructions furnished with the
cleaning cassette. If a cleaning cassette is not
available in your area, have the heads cleaned at your
nearest Sony Service Center facility. With this service,
there would be a standard charge. (Do not use a
commercially-available wet-type cleaning cassette. It
may cause damage to the video heads.)
@ The video heads are worn out.
