SURROUND
Dolby Pro Logic Surround
Dolby 3CH Logic
Set to this position for video and music sources (especially
sources bearing the D([bousysurrouns) marks).
Dolby Pro Logic Surround continuously detects the size
and direction of signals.
As a result, the position of the sound source becomes clear,
enabling reproduction of natural sound flow.
Listening position
* In the above figure, F stands for front speakers, S for
surround speakers, C for center speaker, SW for sub
woofer, R for right, and L for left.

When Dolby Pro Logic is ON, pressing the CENTER MODE

WIDE NORMAL
Same system as the Dolby Pro Logic Surround except that
SURROUND speakers are not installed. SURROUND
speaker signals are played back by the FRONT speakers,
enabling better reproduction of surround effects and depth
than with normal stereo playback.

Sounds are at the fixed po-

The bass from the center
channel is played back by
the FRONT speakers.
Using the same speakers as
the FRONT speakers for the
CENTER speaker enables
sounds from bass to treble
to be played back more
naturally.
