IGNITION SYSTEM
FUEL INJECTORS
DISTRIBUTOR POINTS
The injectors should be changed every 600 hours. New
New distributor points should be installed every 600
or rebuilt injectors are available from your Ford Tractor-
hours.

SPARK PLUGS
To maintain engine efficiency and performance, the
spark plugs should be cleaned every 300 hours and new
plugs installed every 600 hours.
1.
Remove the high tension plug wires. Using a spark
plug socket
(4),
remove the spark plugs
(1),
Figure
86, and inspect for damaged insulators, fouling,
and excessive electrode erosion. If serviceable,
clean with sandblasting equipment.
2.
Check the gap with a wire .gauge (1), Figure 87.
Adjust the gap to 0.023-0.027 inch (0.584—
0.686 mm).

Install the plugs and torque them to 26-30 lbs.
1. Wire Gap Gauge
2. Side Electrode
ft. (3.60-4.15 kgm). Connect the wires.
