To go to the next chapter/track during Random Playback:

Tracks in the video and audio part are played in a random order.

chapters/tracks in random order, press
RANDOM PLAY during program playback.

Hi-Lite Scan/Intro Scan

Hi-Lite scan (CD or audio part of CDV)
When HILITE/INTRO SCAN on the front panel is pressed
during stop mode, playback starts from a point 1 minute after
the beginning of the track, and each track is played for about
8 seconds.
The HILITE/INTRO indicator is lit on the display
during Hi-Lite Scan mode. (On the screen, 'Hilite"is displayed.)
Intro Sean (LD or video part of CDV)
When HILITE/INTRO SCAN on the front panel is pressed,
the beginning of each chapter is played for about 8 seconds.
The HILITE/INTRO indicator is lit during Intro Scan mode.
CD/CDV (Audio part)
PARTICULAR
FUNCTION
FOR CD - Peak Level Search
With this function, the peak level of CD or CDV (audio part) can
easily be searched for. This is convenient for adjusting the
proper recording level.
To search for the peak level of the entire disc:
Press PEAK SEARCH on the front panel.

The player scans the entire disc and searches for the peak
level. It takes for about 1 minute and 20 seconds with 60-
minute disc. While searching, the PEAK indicator is fit on the
display.
To search for the peak level of the programmed tracks:
Program the desired tracks beforehand (page 19) and press
PEAK SEARCH.
The player scans all of the programmed
tracks and searches for the peak level between them,
NOTES:
e The piayer sometimes detects the different peak level
in when the peak search function is carried out on one
isc.
e@ With some discs, the player cannot detect the proper peak
level. This is not a malfunction.
