2) PRE AMP OUT jacks
When using a power amplifier to boost the volume of front, rear or center
speakers,
connect
here.
Refer to page
16 for details
concerning
connection. Connect the power cord of the power amplifier to the AC
OUTLETS
(SWITCHED)
of this unit.
NOTE:
Pay attention to the power consumption of the power amplifier used.
For more details refer to (z) AC OUTLETS on page 11.
(2) POWER AMP IN jacks
When a preamplifier
(optional) is used with the VSA-1000
power
amplifier to drive the front, rear or center speakers, use these jacks.
Refer to page 16 for details concerning connection.
First switch the preamplifier power ON, and then switch the VSA-1000
power ON.
NOTE:
When not using, be sure to connect the PRE AMP OUT
and the POWER
AMP IN with a connector bar.
(3) VIDEO OUT TO RF MODULATOR jack
Use this when connecting a TV set that doesn't have a video input jack.
When
performing connections,
the RF MGDULATOR
JA-RF5
({soid
separately) is required. By connecting an RF modulator, video signal can
be converted to VHF signal (U.S. channel 3 or 4), thus allowing this
unit to be used to view the selected source on a TV set.
(4) CENTER SPEAKER terminals
Use to connect a surround center channel speaker system.
Connect a speaker system having a nominal impedance ranging from
8 to 160.

(6) VIDEO ADAPTOR IN/OUT jacks

Connect to a monitor TV video input jack.
(7) VDP jacks
(8) VCR 1 IN/OUT jacks
IN:
Connect to VCR output (video/audio) jacks.
OUT:
Connect to the VCR input (video/audio) jacks.
(9) VCR 2 IN/OUT jacks
Connect to the second VCR input/output jacks.
¢ if the VCR
has S-VIDEO
input/output connectors,
it can also be
connected to the S-VIDEO connectors.
