using the medical device!
1 General description
The DATALOGGER transducer cable (length 2.00 m) is used to
display invasive blood pressure values on Raumedic monitor
systems.

2 Notes
2.1 Operating instructions
After connecting the transducer to a Raumedic device using the
DATALOGGER transducer cable, assign the transducer to the
measurement location. Follow the transducer manufacturer's
instructions for use when zeroing. Use the "conventional zeroing"
option on the Raumedic device.
2.2 Precautionary measures
This product may only be used by trained specialist personnel.

Before each use, a visual check of the cable and plug

connectors must be carried out to ensure that they are clean
and free of damage. Do not use in the event of damage or
malfunction.
Avoid bending or kinking the cable significantly.

Protect cables from strong UV radiation.

Connectors must only be used in the intended sockets. Be

mindful of the mechanical coding on the connectors and
sockets.
Do not unscrew the connectors.

The Redel connector (8-pin circular connector) is equipped

with a push-pull locking system, which prevents the connector
from being released when pulling on the cable. When
disconnecting the connection, only grasp the connector in the
immediate vicinity of the socket (on the connector part with the
two arrow symbols).

Do not pull on the grommet or the cable!

3 Connecting the transducer cable to
Raumedic devices
The DATALOGGER transducer cable makes it possible to connect
selected external transducers (see Section 9 Transducer
connection types) to the pressure inputs on Raumedic devices
(MPR 1 DATALOGGER,
NeuroSmart logO). Insert the Redel connector into an available
pressure input socket (yellow colour coding). The embossed
arrows indicate the correct connection position.

After that, conduct a functional check of the entire measuring chain
as described in the instructions for use for the Raumedic device in
question.
4 Safety information
If liquid accidentally runs inside the cable connector, do not
use the cable.
If only the outer cable insulation has been moistened, wipe
the moisture away with a dry cloth before using the cable.
In the event of a malfunction, check the individual
components of the measuring chain and replace them as
needed.
A functional measuring chain is a prerequisite for usage. If
the problem cannot
manufacturer/supplier immediately.
5 Cleaning
Cables can be cleaned with a cloth and lukewarm soapy water and
disinfected with 70% isopropanol solution. Wipe the cables dry
with a cloth before use.
Disconnect all plug connections before cleaning the cables.

Do not immerse the cable in liquid.

Do not clean the cable ultrasonically.

6 Sterilisation
Do not sterilise or autoclave the cable.
