Language and input
Change the settings for text input. Some options may not be available depending on the
selected language.
On the Settings screen, tap Language and input.
Display language
Select a display language for all menus and apps.
Regional formatting
Select a country or region for the display format. This setting affects the time and date format
or units.
Default keyboard
Select a default keyboard type for text input.
Keyboard settings
The available options may vary depending on the region or service provider.
• E nglish (UK): Select a default keyboard layout.
• S elect input languages: Select languages for text input.
• P redictive text: Activate predictive text mode to predict words and show word
suggestions.
• A uto capitalise: Set the device to automatically capitalise the first character after a final
punctuation mark, such as a full stop, question mark, or exclamation mark.
• A uto punctuate: Set the device to insert a full stop when you double-tap the space bar.
• S ound: Set the device to sound when a key is touched.
• C haracter preview: Set the device to display a large image of each character tapped.
• R eset: Reset Samsung keyboard settings.
