Auto-Equalizing Function
The auto-equalizing function built into this
unit measures the acoustic property in the
car compartment automatically and set the
equalizer curve automatically to 1 of the 3
compensation acoustic properties which
have been preset in the memory.
Selectable acoustic properties
DYNAMIC (F1)
Compensation to an acoustic property
suitable for reproduction of music with
beat, such as jazz and rock.
NATURAL (F2)
Compensation to make the acoustic
property in the car compartment closer to
a flat property.
MILD (F3)
Compensation to an acoustic property
making quiet music sound clearly in the
car compartment.

The equalizer curves displayed above
are only for the reference target curves.
Before operate the auto-
equalization
To avoid traffic accident
-
Never attempt to perform auto-
equalization during driving.
When the auto-equalizing function is
used to create an auto-equalizer
curve automatically, loud
measurement tone (noise) is output
from the speakers to measure the
acoustic property in the car
compartment.
To protect speaker units

To protect speaker units, check the
following points.
— Is the speaker connection correct?
If a high-range speaker unit is
connected to the middle/bass or
sub-woofer outputs, the speaker
may be damaged.
Does the outputs of the power
amp not exceed the allowable
inputs of the speaker units?
Does the frequency band selected
by the network adjustment (P. 18)
not exceed that of the speaker
unit?
