Macro Mode

Macro mode is used for taking pictures of objects as close as 9 cm (3.6 in.). Note
that the flash may be unable to light entire subject at distances of less than 60 cm
(2 ft.).

Tap macro mode control.
The macro menu is displayed.

Tap o.
When d is tapped, the menu will close and the
monitor display will return to shooting mode
without changing the macro mode setting.

Tap e or f to frame the picture.
The camera can focus at a distance of 9 cm (3.6
in.) at the zoom position at which the zoom
indicator glows green (the zoom indicator is
before Q).

Macro Mode
In macro mode, the camera automatically focuses continuously until focus and exposure are locked
by pressing the shutter-release button halfway.

The Macro Mode Setting
The macro mode setting applied in A (auto) mode is stored in the camera's memory even after the
camera is turned off, and reapplied the next time A (auto) mode is selected.
