    Product Support The customer's original phones will be repaired but not refurbished as standard. Appointed Motorola Service Hubs will perform warranty and non-warranty field service for level 2 (assemblies) and level 3 (limited Transceiver component). Motorola High Tech Centers will perform level 4 (full component) repairs.

The bit-map 98 x 67 pixel display includes up to 3 lines of text, 1 line of icons, and 1 line of prompts.

    Level 1-2 Service Manual Disassembly Disassembly This section describes how to disassemble a V171 telephone. Tools and equipment used are listed on the preceding page. Many of the integrated devices used in this phone are vulnerable to damage from electrostatic discharge (ESD).

    Disassembly V171 To replace, insert the battery with 2 tabs on its bottom end into the battery slots of the phone as shown in Figure 5. Figure 5. Replacing the battery Click the battery into place, then slip the battery cover over it.

This allows service personnel to verify functionality and perform fault isolation by entering keypad commands. To enter the manual test command mode, a GSM/DCS/PCS test SIM must be used.
