• Clutch/brake
pedal

depressed
• Attachment
clutch is
engaged.
• Weak or dead battery.
• Blown fuse.
• Corroded
battery
terminals.
• Loose
or damaged
wiring.
• Faulty ignition
switch.
• Faulty solenoid or starter.
• Faulty operator
presence
switch(es).
• Weak or dead battery.
• Corroded
battery
terminals.
• Loose
or damaged
wiring.
• Faulty solenoid
or starter.
• Cutting
too much grass/too
fast.
• Throttle in "CHOKE"
position.
CORRECTION
• Fill fuel tank.
• See "TO START ENGINE"
in Operation
section.
• Wait several minutes before
attempting to start,
• Replace
spark plug.
• Clean/replace
air filter.
• Replace
fuel filter.
• Drain fuel tank and carbure
tot, refill tank with fresh
gasoline and replace fuel
filter.
• Check all wiring.
• See "To Adjust Carburetor"
in
section.
• Contact
an authorized
service
center/department.
• Clean/replace
air filter.
• Replace
spark plug,
• Recharge
or replace
battery.
• Replace
fuel filter.
• Drain fuel tank and refill with
fresh gasoline.
• Check
all wiring.

section.
• Contact

• Depress
clutch/brake
pedal.
• Disengage
attachment
clutch.
• Recharge
or replace
battery.
• Replace

• Contact

service

• Recharge
or replace battery.
• Clean

• Check

• Set in "Higher
Cut" position/
reduce
speed.
• Adjust throttle control.
