Message settings

The message settings affect the
sending, receiving, and viewing of
messages.
Settings for text messages
1. Press Menu, and select
Messages,
Message

2. If more than one message profile
set is supported by your SIM card,
select the profile you want to
change, and select from the
following settings:
Message centre number
save the phone number of the
message centre that is
required for sending text
messages. You will receive
this number from your service
provider.
Messages sent via
the message type Text, E-mail,
Paging
or Fax.
Message validity
length of time for which the
network should attempt to
deliver your message.
Default recipient number
save a default number for
sending messages for this
profile if you have selected
the message type Text. Select
E-mail server
mail server number if you
have selected the message
type E-mail.

Delivery reports
