We recommend a wide vision safety mask over spectacles, dard safety glasses. HOW TO USE YOUR TRACTOR TO SET PARKING BRAKE Your tractor is equipped with an operator presence sensing switch.
  • Page 14 • The average lawn should be cut to approximately 2-1/2 inches dudng the Coolseason and to over 3 inches during hot months. For healthier and better looking lawns, mow often and after moderate growth. • For best cutting performance, grass over 6 inches in height should be mowed twice.
  • Page 15 NOTE: To protect hood from damage when transporting your tractor on a truck or a trailer, be sure hood is closed and secured to tractor.   • Page 16 COLDWEATHER STARTING ( 50° F and below) When engine starts, allow engine to run w_th the throttle control in the choke position until the engine runs roughly, then move throttle control to fast posi- tion. This may require an engine warm- up period from several seconds to sev- eral minutes, depending on the temper- ature.

  • Page 21 CLEAN AIR SCREEN Air screenmustbe kept free of dirt and chaffto preventenginedamage heating. Clean with a wire brush or com- pressed air to remove dirt and stubborn dried gum fibers. FILTER Your engine will not run properly using a dirty air filter. Clean the foam pre-cleaner after every 25 hours of operation or every season.

Before connecting battery, remove metal bracelets, wristwatch bands,rings,etc. Positive terminal must be connected first to prevent sparking from accidental grounding.
